We didn't start as a skincare brand. We started as a problem that needed solving.
Chapter 01 - How it began
The founder couldn't find a product that worked. So he made one.
Founder Asad Ansari struggled with persistent skincare issues for years. He tried product after product available in the Indian market, but none delivered the real results. Instead of accepting that, he decided to understand why.
He studied ingredients, researched formulations, and applied what he learned to his own skin. It worked.
Active Origin was created to share that knowledge - and those carefully crafted formulations - with you.
Chapter 02 - The realisation
A visit to Dubai Mall changed everything.
In 2025, Asad visited Dubai Mall - one of the world's largest shopping mall. Walking through its skincare aisles, I saw brands from Korea, the USA, Europe, Japan.
Not a single brand from India.
India has one of the world's oldest wellness traditions - thousands of years of Unani knowledge, expert dermatologists, and abundant natural ingredients. Yet on the global stage, Indian skincare is absent.
That gap became our mission. Active Origin is built to bring Indian skincare to the international level it deserves - formulated with precision, backed by science, and rooted in ancient unani tradition.
Chapter 03 - Our responsibility
Skincare shouldn't cost the planet.
The current skincare industry carries an environmental cost.
Traditional face washes use up to 800 litres of water for every 10,000 units produced, much of which is added as a filler,
Most formulations also contain harmful ingredients that don't biodegrade. Once they enter waterways, they harm marine life, accumulate in irrigation water, and re-enter the food chain.
